SALES TERMS & CONDITIONS
Sales Policy
All sales are final. We strive to maintain a healthy herd and all animals tested CAE negative as of September 2024. We also make sure all animals are healthy before leaving for their new homes. Once an animal leaves our farm we are no longer responsible for anything that may happen to the animal. A health certificate can be acquired at the buyer’s expense for $40 through our veterinarian.
All kids will be disbudded, vaccinated, and tattooed before leaving the farm, unless otherwise stated.
We will not sell a single goat and require that you buy at least two. Goats are herd animals. They generally do not do well alone. “An only goat is a lonely goat”. A lonely goat will let you know it, and no one will be happy. Wethers (neutered/castrated boys) make great companion animals for both does and bucks as they are inexpensive and low maintenance.
Registration
Registerable goats will either be registered before leaving or registration will be completed online with transfer at time of registration.
Our primary registry for Nigerian Dwarf goats is the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). Some adults sold may also be registered with the American Goat Society (AGS). Buyers can choose to register kids with AGS, NDGA, or MDGA using the animal’s ADGA registration papers.
Reservations
To reserve the option to purchase a kid, a $100 reservation fee is required with remaining balance due within 14 days of notification of birth. If your choice of kid is not available, we will gladly transfer your deposit to another kid or you can choose to roll over the reservation to that doe’s next kidding.
Reservation fees are non-refundable. If for any reason a sale is canceled, no monies will be refunded. Prices are subject to change at our discretion (and likely will as a doe ages and participates in performance programs including show, milk test and linear appraisal). When you make a reservation, you will lock in the price posted for that freshening. Prices quoted are for reserved kids picked up or shipped between 2 to 4 weeks of age. We do not guarantee these prices for animals purchased after birth. As the breeder/owner of these animals, we do reserve the right to keep any animal born. Kids rejected by buyer due to color/eye color/wattles is considered a cancelled reservation.
Wait List
If there is a particular breeding you are interested in, you can contact us to add your name to the waiting list free of charge. After kids are born and we evaluate who we want to keep, and then fill any paid reservations, we will contact those on the waiting list to offer available kids in order of who contacted us first. If none of the people on the list want that particular kid, he or she will be added to the sale page and offered to the general public.
Deposits
For any animals sold without a reservation, a non-refundable 50% deposit will hold the animal for up to 2 weeks while pick up arrangements are being made. The balance remainder will be required at time of pick up. If using a transport, the animal must be paid for in full before it can leave our farm. It is the buyer’s responsibility to stay in touch with us. If we do not hear from you after your 2 week deposit period is over, we reserve the right to offer said animal for sale again. If a deposit has been put on an animal and the buyer backs out, there is no refund of monies paid in.
If a deposit is paid or paid in full and said animal becomes sick or dies while in my care, no money will be returned but can be transferred to another goat of equal value unless other arrangements have been discussed and written into our contract.
We reserve the right to retain a goat at any time during the sales process. We also reserve the right to sell goats to what we feel are the best homes based on management and care. Deposits will be refunded for these reasons.
Payments
We accept cash, Zelle, Paypal, and Venmo for payments.
